==Overview:==
The Foxhound Main Battle Tank is Rico Heavy Industry's response to the
Manticore MBT, with the goal of offering a product that addresses flaws in the
manticore's design.  From an early stage in the development process, it came
to the realization that they were never going to beat the manticore on cost
especially if they were going to use the older variants as a standard to
judge. The only other option was to make as modern as possible.

==Capabilities:==
The Foxhound aims to give increased crew survivability above any other
priority. All ammunition is stored in bins that vent any ammunition explosion
out and away from the tank, which while it means the loss of the tank in
combat it can be recovered and crew picked up. This is important as the price
tag on the tank is higher than some of its competitors so having crews that
can be recovered and have confidence they will live to fight another day was
key.

Another point is its armor, compared to the Manticore, the Foxhound carries
thicker armor at better angles, the turret from a view above the tank is
sloped away at an 80 degree angle, and from the front at a 60 degree slope
means any armor defeating projectiles will have a harder time penetrating it.
One of the more unique aspects is the armor configuration. Many inner sphere
tanks carry thick frontal hull armor and thin turrets. The foxhound was
derived from a study of tank engagements and noted many crews fought in hull
down positions, a reason why all the weapons are mounted in the turret.

To defeat the variety of shaped charge missiles the tank is equipped with the
Goalkeeper active protection system that detects incoming rockets fired at it
and launches a projectile at the incoming missiles to defeat the incoming
missiles.

The armament package is a mix of modern and more established weapons. The
Foxhound mounts a Johnson parti-kill PPC, the weapon being a mainstay of many
weapon systems for its reliability. It is enhanced by a targeting computer to
allow for a higher hit ratio. To make for a more flexibility a pair of seven
tube multi missile launchers were added. With two tons of ammunition per
launcher there is some flexibility as to what munitions can be used. The
biggest addition is a pair of machineguns for defense against infantry,
something that the manticore lacked and made vulnerable to infantry rushes.
