==Overview:==
Born of the never ending arms race, the Advanced Inner Sphere
Battle armor isn't one particular suit, manufactured by various
nations it is more of a group of designs that all have their own
nationalistic styling but have similar capabilities.

The cause of the similar capabilities was generally the same
Battlefield salvage by one nation resulting in technology adapted
for their own use which was then stolen or shared. The adjustments
to each successive iteration of the battle armor that lead to a general
design that is common in all successor states.

Manufacturers include: Rico Heavy Industries, GM, Ceres Metals
Industries, Corean Enterprises, Cosby BattleMech and Myomer
Research Firm, Defiance Industries, Hellespont Industrials,
Luthien Armor Works, Kali Yama Weapons Industries Incorporated,
 Tanadi Computers, and Outback Industries

==Capabilities:==
The Advance Standard IS battle armor is nothing too special. It
mounts a modular weapon mount that can have different weapons
swapped out. It carries a Battle claw in one hand and an
anti-personnel mount in the other arm.

Thanks to the advanced armor it now has the ability to mount the
same protection as an elemental, while lacking the life
sustainment unit. But this has a cost, the suit has a small space
for a weapons payload.

For mobility the suit has a jump capacity as its forbearer, but
where the suit shines is now it mounts a magnetic clamp. For years
the Inner sphere lagged behind in the clans use of mechs and
battle armor as only elementals could ride on omnimechs. As most
inner sphere militaries rely on the standard battlemech, it means
battle armor had to be transported by vehicles.

Now with this generation of standard IS battle armor, a commander
can now deploy his battle armor by omnimech, or by conventional
mechs and even the humble Savanna master can now act as a battle armor
transport.

I'm not that familiar with BA designing, thus I mostly RP them base on their movement, armour and weapons. (But than again, which unit isn't?)

Out of these 3, armour's pretty good, able to take a PPC or LPL without crumbling.

I personally prefer higher ground movement, since 1/3 is basically 'every other medium suit' and also because I tend to prefer operating in urban and closed terrain, but that also means that the Advanced IS isn't at a handicap compared to most others.

Weapons wise, I guess there's a limit when you have to cater for those magclamps - which other magclamp designs chose to sacrifice armour for. We have got to thank the Cappies for coming up with a contraption which relieves a commander from the need to dedicate extra DropShip space and vehicular crew just to ferry their BA around.

I like this, but I REALLY wise you could give them some extra bite somehow.
