Hey, how many posts do you need to hit to unlock all features and what features are locked until then?

I ask because I just tried to create a thread on the Suggestions forum and no post appeared. But it gave me no error message or anything either. So I'm not sure if its a bug or if I just haven't unlocked that feature.

I believe it is set at 5. Things like PMs, bbcode, and also posting or starting threads in certain forums among other things are restricted until then I believe.

Its weird you can't make posts Jon.

It states that "We are sorry, but you are not authorised to use this feature. You may have just registered here and may need to participate more in discussions to be able to use this feature."

What exactly would unlocking this feature entail?

I'm guessing it'll unlock PM feature when you hit 5 posts. Read the Director's post above. Some features are locked until you have 5 posts on the forums.

The reason for the postcount controlling some of these functions is to reduce spam, and reduce the risk of bad links, images, etc getting added.

You gave me an idea. I started a thread on the Mechwarrior Lounge and Bar forum where people can knock-out their 5 posts fast without being rude or offending anyone.
