One of the things we operate on is a "Made To Order" contract system.

Meaning, if you don't see a posted contract that you like. You can contact a staff member, and work out what you'd like to be doing, we can create that contract and post it.

Sometimes that just means the general essence of an idea or concept. Sometimes MUCO's have sent me the entire contract, word-for-word, what they want. If it doesn't raise any red flags, we usually run with it. It has to go through at least 2 staff members before the contract goes live and can be bid on.

There's absolutely room to play in the "liberation of Terra" department. But based on our staff planning, I recommend you see that as a long term goal. There's no great march into the FWL's "Duchy of Terra" planned in the near future. The FWL has pushed outward and the lines have solidified a bit. The mobile war has ground to a halt. All parties have become frustrated by the lack of progress on the front line. What we're in now is an era of heavy raiding in that war. Attacks on factories, supply lines and so on. Even deep strikes way behind the front lines with large armies, like the raid on Irian (see the House Marik news forum). So that's an angle you could work with. Weakening the enemy.

We have toted the IC fact that there's resistance out there. People on the Terran worlds fighting back. That's another angle you could work with.

All the contracts toward this goal are going to be Great House as an employer, or ComStar. A few might be nobility (opportunity here to pick up an NPC benefactor of some sort, like a Terran expatriate. His Charlie to your Angels if you will).

In terms of actively fighting the FWL, the Lyrans and Combine are the most active. The Capellans have been forced to focus on defense. Davion is facing CSoT more than they are the FWL, and seeing opportunity to strike at vulnerable Capellans. So the Lyrans, Combine and ComStar are really the big merc employers for efforts against the FWL.

I'm aware it's a long-term goal. Actually, I plan on my character writing a series of pro-Terran essays to try to rally further resistance under a pseudonym.

Honestly, if the ConMag is going to take Ohrensen, the planet I'm currently on, as well as Zion, which they have another contract listed for, that's a major push into the FWL and puts them in a vulnerable spot. The war with House Davion would be a huge stopper on their plans, though, I think. With ULTRA blocking House Davion's path, the largest successor state can't intervene directly into Terra, leaving the resistance in the hands of the Lyrans, Dracs, and ConMag.

I'm going to keep my eyes out for contracts making life difficult for the FWL until something comes along we can sink our teeth into.

There is one more possibility that's been kind of quietly put out there.

I know you said you don't like Liberty Holds, but last year the with comstar and merc help of a PC unit added Epsilon Eridani to their nation. They are only 4 systems strong though. THat's not much, and while they have strong armies, they can't afford to waste a lot of material either. So in that vein, given they are wedged between Duchy of Terra and the Confederated Systems of Tikonov, the liberty holds intelligentsia has been working on some overt/covert operations in primarily Duchy worlds (maybe some CSoT as well) ITs been code named operation 'Tree of Liberty'. While Liberty Holds might consider consolidating some worlds, I think the larger goal is destabilize control of Terran corridor worlds from FWL/Marik by sparking various indpendence movements. Whether that ultimately leads to inclusion with the Great Root that remains of the Star League in Liberty Holds, or ends up in a weird swiss cheese of worlds going independent, coallition of their own, Successor state inclusion, or just Chaos Marchish is still far too soon to tell.

The trick though, is Liberty Holds is trying to do this, without leading FWL intel back to them. The Star League may be no more, but let's be clear, its ideals still exist. We also have some future ideas coming down the parkin the davion operation already mentioned.

I've strongly been considering it. When it comes down to it, I think the Eden's Guard would side with Liberty Holds above any other faction, because basically everyone in the Eden's Guard is ex-SLDF or trained by those who were, and they're not going to leave the Holds hanging when the time comes. Regardless of what Penelope and the rest of the unit's leadership (in-character, mind) thinks, the people of the Holds are Star League. That doesn't mean they have to trust Isis Marik, or like the fact they gave in and allowed Terra to be taken.
